ABOUT

SANDRA B. RODRIGUEZ

Sandra B. Rodriguez is a Mexican-American born in Jalisco, Mexico. She graduated from Harrington College in Chicago with High Honors earning a B.A. in Interior Architecture. She also studied at INSEEC in Paris where she was awarded a certificate in Fundamentals of Architecture and International Studies.

 

She has professional experience in managing large-scale commercial construction projects and designing corporate interiors from her time as an Interior Designer at Wright Heerema Architects, a prestigious architecture firm in downtown Chicago.

 

Feeling the need to expand her horizons, Sandra progressed into filmmaking by earning a position as Production Designer in a Sundance Lab scene exercise which led to her production designing the Sundance-financed short film: WOLVES, which went on to win various awards at film festivals. Most recently, Sandra has production designed LUCHA NOIR, a short from Mcdonald's Spotlight Dorado which proceeded to become the first-ever grand prize winner for the program, making history. In tandem,  he has been working with Film Independent on the short film THE WORDS OF CAYETANO set for release this year.  Currently, she is a Fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory (class of 2023), working toward her MFA in Production Design.

Sandra’s skillset ranges from production design, art direction, set design, set construction and set decoration. With knowledge in software like Vectorworks, SketchUp, Rhino, Photoshop, Twinmotion, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc. She continues to push the boundaries of her creativity while she prepares to graduate and continue to grow her professional career.
